The Dachs 2 Danes Difference
We aim to enrich the lives of dogs by helping them become well-balanced through exercise, structure, and understanding what it means to be a part of a pack. We believe that a well-balanced dog is a happy dog who will behave better at home and bring even more joy to their family.
Pack Leaders- Each of our staff members learns to read and understand dog body language and behavior so they can establish themselves as pack leader in the play group.
Proper Socialization- We encourage respectful play and interaction while curbing anxious behavior, bullying, obsessive behavior, and “peacocking”. We also work to keep the energy of the group at a safe and stress-free level.
Structure & Discipline- We offer dogs the structure they crave by moving as a pack, and sticking to a routine. We reinforce obedience training by using basic commands throughout the day, such as “sit” and “come”. We give the dogs boundaries by correcting inappropriate behavior with verbal cues and commands, eye contact, and/or a squirt of water.
Small Play Groups- Keeping play groups small helps both the pack and pack leader maintain a safe and stress-free level of energy. Pack leaders are better able to give attention to all dogs in the group, rather than just the ones that demand attention.
Webcams- You can check on your pup while you’re away through our webcams. Watch their interactions throughout their stay and see the D2D Difference for yourself.
Puppy Preschool- Dogs under the age of 12 months get to enroll in puppy preschool, where they get to work with a trainer daily in an intimate setting. Puppy preschool focuses on potty training, basic obedience, and proper socialization while exposing the dogs to different situations and experiences in a controlled and safe environment.
